Michigan Cheesy Garlic & Herb Rolls
Garlic and Herb Rolls: The Coziest Winter Bake You’ll Ever Make
When the temperature drops and the nights draw in, there’s nothing quite like the smell of something buttery and savory baking in the oven. Enter garlic and herb rolls—a simple yet utterly irresistible treat that turns an ordinary puff pastry sheet into a showstopping winter indulgence. These golden, flaky spirals puff up beautifully as they bake, filling your kitchen with the comforting aroma of roasted garlic and fresh herbs. Whether you’re serving them alongside a steaming bowl of soup, a roast dinner, or simply enjoying one straight from the tray, these rolls capture everything we love about winter comfort food: warmth, flavor, and a touch of decadence.
The magic lies in their filling—a luxurious blend of herb butter and melted cheese that seeps into every layer of pastry. Imagine softened butter infused with garlic, parsley, and thyme, then spread generously over the dough before adding a sprinkle of gooey mozzarella. As the rolls bake, the butter melts and the cheese bubbles, creating soft, savory swirls wrapped in a perfectly crisp shell. The result? A golden, aromatic roll that’s impossible to resist—ideal for sharing or (let’s be honest) keeping all to yourself on a frosty winter night.
